Internal Review
You should be able to step away from any interaction without explaining yourself. This page describes the controls that work today and the ones still being built.

Blocking (live)
Blocking works in both directions: once you block someone, their conversations, replies and invitations stop appearing for you, and yours stop appearing for them. It does not remove anything either person has already saved or screenshotted elsewhere, and it does not notify them.
Reporting (live)
Every conversation, reply and invitation carries Report. Reports go to a private review queue that a person reads. A decision may result in no action, a warning, removal of the content, limits on posting, a suspension, or removal of the account. Each decision is written down with a reason in a record that cannot be edited afterwards.
If a decision is made about your account
You are shown your current standing inside the product, in plain words, along with what you can and cannot do while it applies. You can appeal once per decision and a person reads the appeal. We do not promise a response time yet.
Stepping away from a connection (live)
Sometimes a conversation has simply run its course, and that is not a safety matter. Stepping away closes it quietly: no reason is asked for, nothing is reported, no moderation record is created, and the other member is not told you chose it. Both of you can still read what you wrote, and nothing new can be sent unless you connect again — which needs permission from both of you, just as it did the first time.
Blocking is different and stronger. It stops someone seeing or reaching you, and it takes effect immediately. After you block someone we ask, optionally, whether there is something we should know — blocking on its own tells us nothing about anyone's conduct and we do not treat it as a finding against them.
Publishing carries a name
To start a conversation, reply, or post a Right Now invitation you must first add the name other members will see. We do not verify that the name is your legal name, and we do not check identity documents.
Location detail (planned)
We intend to let you choose how precisely your location is shown — for example city, region, or country. We do not plan to display street addresses.
Photos
Profile photos are stored in a private bucket and are served through short-lived signed links rather than public URLs. Anyone who can see a photo can still capture it, so treat anything you upload as potentially copyable.
