Why nu Avanti?
nu is our nod to new. Avanti is an Italian word with several meanings: forward, ahead, go ahead, and even come in.
Each one belongs here.
- Forward
- because this isn't about starting over. Everything you've lived, learned, loved, lost, and discovered comes with you.
- Ahead
- because there is still so much life in front of you. New places. New experiences. New people. New chapters you may not even see coming yet.
- Go ahead
- because sometimes the hardest part of what's next is simply giving yourself permission to begin.
- Come in
- because you shouldn't have to figure out the next chapter alone. Come in. Find your people. Find your community. See who else is figuring out what comes next.
That's nu Avanti.
Something new. A way forward. And an open door to the people you may meet along the way.
The person behind it
nu Avanti grew out of one woman's own beginning again.
Thais built nu Avanti after moving abroad herself and learning, first hand, how much of beginning again is done alone: the practical parts, the quiet parts, and the long work of finding people who understand what you have just done. This community is the thing she wished had existed.

Who can join
nu Avanti is a global community for people 50 and over. If that's you, you can join. There's no invitation to wait for and no list to get onto.
We're in beta
Beta describes where the product is, not who's allowed in. Some things are still being built, some are deliberately switched off until they can be done properly, and your notes genuinely shape what comes next.
